About Us
Bruce Chambers is an artisan woodworker making furniture the traditional way - one piece at a time using tried and true craftsman techniques. From chair spindles to dovetail joints in drawers, many components are fashioned by hand. Bruce has his own line of furniture ( catalogue) and also collaborates with his customers to design and create custom pieces of fine furniture to suit their needs and space.
Extending beyond furniture,Bruce can provide architectural components (i.e. doors, windows, built-in cupboards) to reflect the period and style of your home. While assisting with the restoration of heritage buildings,Bruce enhanced his knowledge of and experience with early Ontario architecture of which he applies to architectural restoration.
All of Bruce's work is designed and made in his workshop, a restored 1860 Orangeman's Hall. His workshop stands in sharp contrast to modern day industrial productions. His pieces are showcased in a restored 1850 Inn on the property.
Bruce has been in business since 1984 and is known as one of Ontario's/Canada's finest furniture makers .
